I have a new story, “The Pink Lady, The Honeycrisp,” in Wigleaf today. Wigleaf is one of my very favorite literary magazines; it is a place I go when I need to read something that resonates deeply. I hope my piece resonates in some way with you. I’m grateful to Scott Garson for his smart edits and to the whole Wigleaf team for giving my work a home again. Thank you also to David Queen for offering me the time and space to find this story and to Alice Katzman, Shayne Terry, Lanie Nowak, and Francine Witte for listening to me read it. I am not going to say anything about this piece; I will let it speak for itself. I will only mention that I wrote it with love for a friend.

* Note: I am delighted to report that Wigleaf has nominated this story for the Pushcart Prize.
