Cut on the Bias

September 30, 2019 By Maureen Langloss

“It gives you satisfaction to be a woman tying men down. When you see your work cinched under the Adam’s apples of men on the street, you open a button on your blouse. You let the wind have at your throat. At least this, you think.”

My latest flash fiction, “Cut on the Bias,” was published this month in PANK‘s Fall/Winter issue. I’m incredibly honored to appear in PANK, a publication I have admired for ages. I hope you will take a moment to read my story, as well as the terrific work of the other talented writers in the issue.

I am also thrilled to announce that I will be reading alongside Trace DePass at PANK’s “Versions & (Re)Versions” event at Dixon Place in New York City on Thursday, December 12, 2019, at 7pm. Please join us for this community writing workshop/reading if you are in town! Details below.
